  • US News & World Report's Best Hospital rankings2019-20
    United Hospital is ranked sixth (tie) in the Twin Cities and eighth (tie) in the State of Minnesota. It was rated high performing in nine specialties: abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, aortic valve surgery, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), colon cancer surgery, heart bypass surgery, heart failure, hip replacement, knee replacement, lung cancer surgery.

  • Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, 2015
    United Breast Center has been designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology. To achieve this designation, breast centers must be fully accredited in mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy.
  • MBSAQIP Comprehensive Center Accreditation, 2015
    United Hospital is nationally recognized by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program. The program accredits bariatric surgery centers that have undergone peer evaluation in accordance with nationally recognized bariatric surgical standards. Bariatric surgery accreditation not only promotes uniform standard benchmarks, but also supports continuous quality improvement.

  • Breast Cancer Certification, 2013
    United Hospital's Breast Center has been granted a three-year full accreditation designation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons. United Hospital's Breast Center is one of only three in Minnesota to have earned this distinction.

  • Re-Designated as a Level 3 Trauma Center, 2013
