Restricted visiting guidelines 

To protect the health and safety of our patients and staff, Allina Health has instituted a no visitor policy in all of its hospitals, clinics and other locations. There are limited exceptions to this policy. Learn more about no visitor policy and visitor requirements including exceptions.

Campus guide 

The Guest Service Center, located in the main lobby at United Hospital, provides patients, family members and visitors the support they need during their stay or visit to our hospital.

Wireless high-speed internet access

We offer GuestNet, free Wi-Fi wireless high-speed internet access for our patients and visitors in all areas of the hospital.


Tobacco-free campus

In keeping with the United Hospital purpose of promoting health and healing, tobacco usage is not permitted on the campus. 


Parking is available for patients and visitors of United Hospital and Children's Hospitals and Clinics - St. Paul in four parking ramps on campus. Please check with the Visitor Welcome Center about parking validation. 

Parking for the Nasseff Specialty Center is located in the lot adjacent to the building on Chestnut.

Transportation services

The time and place of pickup is designated by the Van Service coordinator when the reservation is verified. Patients should be available 15 minutes prior to their scheduled pickup time. Due to time restrictions, the van will only wait five minutes after the scheduled pick up time.

Patients qualifying for this service include those who:

  • have been referred to the hospital or its affiliated physicians
  • schedule van transportation with minimally 24 hours notice
  • can meet the van at designated sites within a 175-mile radius of the hospital. 
  • are able to get into and out of a van with minimal assistance and travel independently up to four hours.
