Allina Health’s Abbott Northwestern Hospital only Twin Cities hospital ranked among top 100 for heart care and brain surgery in Newsweek’s World’s Best Specialized Hospitals
MINNEAPOLIS (July 28, 2025) — Allina Health’s Abbott Northwestern Hospital is honored to be the only Twin Cities hospital ranked in the top 100 for its heart and brain care, according to Newsweek’s World’s Best Specialized Hospitals 2025. Abbott Northwestern Hospital ranked 33 for Cardiology and 72 for Neurosurgery.
Additionally, Abbott Northwestern, Mercy and United hospitals are on Newsweek’s list of the World’s Best Hospitals 2025. These three hospitals plus Cambridge Medical Center were also included on various Newsweek “best” lists for the U.S. and several specialties.
