UnitedHealth Group has started to inform patients who were affected by a large-scale data breach earlier this year.
What happened?
In February 2024, Change Healthcare became aware of a cyberattack in its computer system. After taking steps to prevent on-going impact from the cyberattack, Change Healthcare began an investigation into the scope of personal information of patients across the U.S. that was compromised in the event.
Allina Health was not directly attacked and has not been notified that the personal information of our patients was impacted. UnitedHealth Group is currently notifying impacted customers.
Free credit monitoring and identity theft protection are available to anyone impacted or concerned they were impacted by the cyberattack and data breach.
To contact UnitedHealth Group, call 1-866-262-5342 or visit their data breach website.
