Certified Primary Stroke Center

Mercy Hospital is certified as a Primary Stroke Center by DNV.

Institute for Healthcare Improvement Mentor Hospital designation

Mercy is among fewer than 150 hospitals nationwide designated as a Mentor Hospital by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) for success in preventing two types of hospital-acquired infections.

Chest Pain Center

The Society of Chest Pain Centers awarded accreditation to Mercy's Emergency Department, Heart & Vascular Center and emergency medical personnel for their extensive and coordinated effort to reduce deaths from heart disease.

American Heart Association

Mercy Hospital received a Silver Quality Achievement Award in 2014 for saving lives of those who experience cardiac arrest by following the most up-to-date, research-based guidelines for patient resuscitation.
