I-35W construction may cause traffic delays when visiting our campus

June 2018 – Construction along I-35W between downtown Minneapolis and Crosstown Highway 62 will be closing traffic lanes, bridges and ramps through November.

Access to Phillips Eye Institute will remain open at all times, but expect your drive time to be twice or three times its usual length due to detours and traffic congestion during peak periods. Please plan ahead for possible delays and consider alternate routes. Visit the MnDOT web site for the most up to date information.

Parking

Parking is available in the ramp directly across the street from the Institute on 24th Street and Park Avenue. You will be charged a flat rate for parking.

The automated pay station at the ramp exit accepts cash or credit cards.

Security officers are available to escort you to your vehicle in the parking ramp. Ask a volunteer at the information desk to call Safety and Security for you.

Transportation services

Patients who are unable to obtain transportation to Phillips Eye Institute can take advantage of our van service, which is provided for patients who live within 20 miles.

Transportation arrangements need to be made through your surgeon's office 48 hours in advance. Patients who live further than 20 miles away may still be able to use the service and can ask for details when making an appointment.

Please note that we do not provide transportation to patients who are having laser vision correction surgery.

Transportation services are funded by the  Phillips Eye Institute Foundation.
