    • Children, 5 and under, are asked not to visit the hospital (this includes birth centers and The Mother Baby Center), unless seeking medical care.
      • Compassionate exceptions may be considered based on a patient's critical condition/prognosis. Talk to a nurse.
    • All children, ages 10 and under, must wear a mask while in our hospitals. This includes birth centers and The Mother Baby Center.
      • The Minnesota Department of Health has declared a measles outbreak in Minnesota. Your child needs to wear a mask while in our facility to protect his or her health.
    • Anyone with a cough or sore throat, should wear a mask while at a hospital.
    • Mom baby and birth center visitors will be screened for wellness.
    • Visitors who are sick should not visit hospital patients.

    • All children, ages 10 and under, must wear a mask while in our clinics.
  • Visiting a patient

General visiting hours are at any time, depending on a patient's condition, accommodations, and care plan. Ask the patient's nurse about good times to visit.

The following are general guidelines for visitors:

    • You may not smoke in patient rooms or anywhere on the hospital campus.
    • You must dress appropriately and must wear shirts and shoes.
    • No more than four visitors are allowed at the bedside at one time.
    • People with colds, sore throats, or any contagious diseases should not visit patients.
    • Visits should be kept short.
    • Maintain a quiet environment and avoid unnecessary noise.
    • You may be asked to leave the room during tests or treatments or when the doctor or nurse needs to see the patient.
