Allina Health vaccine statement

[Allina Health Newsroom, December 16, 2025] At Allina Health, we care about your safety and want you to have the best protection against serious illnesses. Vaccines are one of the safest and most effective ways to keep you and your loved ones healthy. Vaccines do not cause autism. There is a strong scientific consensus that no causal link exists between vaccines and autism.

The American Academy of Pediatrics, American Medical Association and 40 other medical, health and patient advocacy groups have issued a joint statement stating, “Medical researchers across the globe have spent more than 25 years thoroughly studying this claim. All have come to the same conclusion: Vaccines are not linked to autism.”

Vaccines are among the most thoroughly studied and carefully monitored medical interventions in modern health care. Before approval, they undergo extensive clinical trials to evaluate their safety, effectiveness and quality, and this evaluation continues after they are in use through ongoing surveillance systems. As a result of this rigorous process, vaccines have been shown to significantly reduce illness, disability and death from many serious infectious diseases.

Public health authorities and medical professionals worldwide strongly recommend vaccination as a safe and effective means of protecting both individuals and communities. The benefits of vaccination far outweigh the rare and typically mild side effects, which are closely monitored and transparently reported.

As your trusted health ally, Allina Health providers are ready to answer your questions during your family’s office visit, and we welcome you to schedule an appointment with one of our expert providers.
