[KMSP Fox 9, February 10, 2020]   River Falls Area Hospital located in western Wisconsin has delivered babies for more than 30 years, but come April, the birthing center at the hospital will shut its doors. It’s not the first rural hospital in the country to cut maternity care, and according to one researcher, it likely won’t be the last.

Dayla Mary O'Neil, weighing 8 pounds, 3 ounces and measuring 20 inches long, was born in the River Falls Area Hospital's newly remodeled Family Birth Center to proud parents Ladonna and Tom O'Neil of Ellsworth.

[River Falls Journal, December 31, 2009]   The River Falls Area Hospital Foundation will launch a new fundraising campaign to purchase a LUCAS Chest Compression System, the latest in life-saving cardiac technology, for the hospital’s emergency department. Community members will be contacted by mail and phone and will be invited to make a contribution to support the purchase of this state-of-the-art equipment.
