Provide exceptional care with exceptional people at one of the nation's leading pre-hospital systems. A sign-on bonus is currently available for all qualified paramedics ($2,000 for paramedics with less than 2 years of experience and $5,000 for paramedics with 2+ years of experience). Relocation assistance may be available.

Communities we serve

Our primary service area encompasses just over 2,700 square miles in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area, greater Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

Allina Health Emergency Medical Services is one of the region's largest ambulance and medical transport services.

  • We serve more than 100 Minnesota communities, where about one million people live.
  • We employ over 700 paramedics, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), dispatchers, special transportation drivers, maintenance and administration and support personnel.
  • Our services include priority medical dispatch, 911 pre-arrival instructions, emergency and non-emergency ambulance response, the Greater Minnesota Ride program and wheelchair transport.

In 2022, our internationally-accredited communications center answered 351,963 calls, which created more than 141,600 ambulance responses- 111,254 responses for 911 and mutual aid requests and just over 30,300 responses for interfacility requests.

Apply for health care scholarships now through April 1, 2024

New Ulm Medical Center is awarding several scholarships to students in Brown County who plan to pursue health care careers in their post-secondary education. Applications must be submitted by Monday, April 1, 2024.
