Outpatient treatments for COVID-19

For mild to moderate symptoms, there are currently two types of COVID-19 treatments available:

  • oral antivirals against SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
  • monoclonal antibody infusion therapy

Oral antivirals

Oral antivirals (medicines taken by mouth) are used to treat a person who has COVID-19. Two oral antivirals are currently available: Paxlovid (nirmatrelvir/ritonavir) and molnupiravir.

Monoclonal antibody infusion therapy is used to treat a person who has COVID-19. This treatment is given by infusion therapy. You receive the medicine through an intravenous (IV) catheter (thin tube) inserted into a vein in your arm.

Post-COVID-19 rehabilitation services

After recovering from coronavirus, some may experience ongoing physical and mental symptoms after the infection passes, also known as post-COVID-19 syndrome. Treatment options are available to help you fully recover.
