EMT Training Scholarship Program

Start your career as an emergency medical technician (EMT) for free. EMT training runs Sept. 9, 2024-Jan. 22, 2025, in Springfield, Minn. You must be at least 18 years of age to apply. Applications will be available on this page after June 1.

Become an EMT for free in less than five months!

EMT Training Scholarship Program

  • 100% of tuition covered
  • 160 hours of in-class training and ambulance ride-alongs
    • Mondays and Wednesdays
    • 6 – 10 p.m.
    • Training offered at Springfield Community Center
  • $100 final exam fee
  • Pledge to serve as an EMT in the south central Minnesota region, including New Ulm, Springfield, Lamberton, Winthrop, Courtland, Fairfax, Lafayette and Sleepy Eye
  • Watch a one-minute or five-minute video on why it matters to have trained EMTs, especially in rural communities.
