Rising popularity leads to more questions about weight loss drugs

[Allina Newsroom, November 29, 2023] Because of their ability to help with weight loss, the demand for diabetes drugs like Ozempic, Rybelsus, Mounjaro, Zepbound and Wegovy are on the rise. WCCO-TV spoke to Michael Miedema, MD, a cardiologist with Allina Health, as part of a larger story about the effects and costs of these drugs.

“It’s a big deal because cost is obviously an issue, and we want to be cost effective in our treatments,” said Dr. Miedema.
