Dear Neurology Residency Applicants,

It is with great excitement and pride that I introduce our new neurology residency program, designed to shape the next generation of outstanding neurologists.

At Abbott Northwestern Hospital, we are committed to providing cutting-edge neurology training while fostering a strong foundational base in all aspects of the discipline. Our philosophy centers on creating an environment where residents not only acquire deep clinical knowledge and procedural skills, but also develop into compassionate, critical-thinking physicians.

My personal passion lies in medical education, particularly in making neurology engaging and inspiring more students to pursue this fascinating field. My greatest validation truly comes from witnessing my trainees flourish and excel in their chosen paths.

Abbott Northwestern Hospital is a designated Comprehensive Stroke Center and a Level 4 Epilepsy Center. We are also home to the Givens Brain Tumor Center, one of only a handful of such specialized offerings in the country, serving patients with exceptionally complex needs. This rich clinical environment means you will gain exposure to a vast array of neurological conditions, with more than 2,500 strokes treated across our hospitals annually and 116,000 hospital visits for neurological and spine care.
