Living in the Twin Cities

A thriving metropolis surrounded by nature, Minnesota consistently ranks among the top five states for quality of life. A vibrant economy, history of excellence in health care and education, and abundance of cultural and recreational opportunities make Minnesota a great place to call home. Anchored by Minneapolis and St. Paul, the region is home to the University of Minnesota and several prestigious colleges and universities, professional sports teams, world-renowned theaters and a vibrant music scene. In short, we’ve got something for everyone.

There are at least as many reasons why residents love living here as there are lakes—we’re known as the Land of 10,000 Lakes, but it’s somewhere closer to 14,000. But we’ve also got theaters, galleries, fine dining rooms, and both of the Twin Cities top the nation for literacy.

No surprise, then, that we also frequently top the nation when it comes to the happiest places to live.

Allianz field
Constructed in 2019, Allianz Field in St. Paul is home to Minnesota United FC. Allina Health is the team’s official health care provider and a partner in other initiatives, as well. Allina Health is also the official health care provider for Minnesota Aurora, an American women’s soccer club founded in the Twin Cities in 2021 and the largest community-owned women’s team in the country.
