Regina Hospital's Emergency Department offers medical care from board-certified and board-eligible emergency medicine physicians 24 hours a day including: 

  • advanced diagnostics
  • radiology 
  • full scope of diagnostic tests
  • wide range of onsite surgeons and specialists
  • level IV trauma center
  • resuscitation and stabilization of critically ill and injured patients
  • state-designated acute stroke ready (stabilize and administer life-saving medications to stroke patients)
  • 24-hour access to stroke care experts at United Hospital (St. Paul) via telemedicine
  • virtual pediatric emergency medicine consultation with specialists from Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota
  • 24-hour virtual availability of the Allina Health mental health providers via telemedicine

Assessment and referral: Questions and answer

Assessment and referral is a hospital-based service that responds to mental health or substance abuse crisis. Services are provided in the hospital emergency department 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
