Auxiliary

Owatonna Hospital Auxiliary

Since 1957, Owatonna Hospital Auxiliary volunteers have been interested in giving back to their community. Today these volunteers provide support to various hospital departments, as well as the Pink Pantry Coffee & Gift Shoppe.

In addition to volunteering, the Auxiliary provides:

  • Funds for unbudgeted Owatonna Hospital projects
  • Funds for amenities to provide patient care and comfort
  • Scholarships for area-students pursuing healthcare-related fields

Auxiliary scholarships

The Owatonna Hospital Auxiliary and Donald Sanford Fund are sponsoring a number of scholarships for individuals attending programs in nursing and health related careers. Recipients of these scholarships will be selected on the basis of need and merit.

Hospice volunteering

We rely on volunteers to help make hospice patients in the community and at the Owatonna Homestead Hospice House as comfortable as possible. We are looking for volunteers 18 years of age and older to give a few hours a week. There are numerous ways that a volunteer can help, such as providing respite care, being a companion or running errands for the family. Being a hospice volunteer enables you to help others at a special time in their life and experience a great deal of satisfaction.
