Referring patients

The Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute cardiovascular outreach and mobile diagnostic program is one of the largest in the United States. Cardiologists from AHMHI visit more than 35 communities throughout Minnesota and the Upper Midwest on a regular basis. We feel that the best model for outstanding cardiac and vascular specialty care is to bring the specialists to the primary care setting. So whenever possible, we bring our services, doctors and trained personnel to patients throughout greater Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

Please contact the AHMHI location that is most convenient for your patient to schedule a cardiovascular consultation or diagnostic procedure or call our Minneapolis location at Abbott Northwestern Hospital at 612-863-3900.

Cardiology Curbside - Physician only service

Introduced in 2014, Cardiology Curbside is a new service from Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute, where physicians from primary care, internal medicine, emergency, cardiologists and other providers can call 612-863-8800 and talk to one of our cardiologists immediately. You can ask about the next steps for evaluation or treatment of any outpatient or inpatient concern, medical management, testing, EKG review or even a second opinion on the evaluation path chosen.

Along with your current communications with specific AHMHI cardiologists, this free service gives physicians an additional option of immediate access to cardiology consultation and time savings.

Medical providers can call 612-863-8800 for Cardiology Curbside.
Available Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
