Rock from the Heart: Allina Health cardiologist helps nonprofit advocate for heart health

[WCCO-TV News, February 19, 2024] Pete Johnson found what he believes is the perfect combination to help people prioritize their heart health: music mixed with a bit of education from a cardiologist. He used that formula to create Rock from the Heart, a nonprofit with the mission of educating people about aortic and heart valve disease.

He teamed up with Nishtha Sodhi, MD, FACC, the director of the Structural Heart and Valve Program at Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute, to appear on WCCO-TV’s morning show. Together, they explained what valvular heart disease is and why it is so important to advocate for your heart health.
