New tool to improve patient experience in emergency room wait times

[CCX News, December 28, 2022] Allina Health recently launched a new program to improve patient experience in the Emergency Room. It’s called ERAdvisor. ERAdvisor uses artificial intelligence, trends, and real-time data from Allina Health’s electronic health record system to provide patients with a personalized wait time estimate for their visit. CCX Media spoke to Chris DuFresne, vice president, Digital Products and Marketing Technology at Allina Health and Jon Zylka, R.N., supervisor, Patient Care about how this app aims to help with patient experience.

Allina Health is the only health care system in Minnesota to use ERAdvisor. ERAdvisor from Vital Software is now operational at Allina Health’s Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis, and WestHealth Emergency Room, Plymouth. ERAdvisor will also be used at United Hospital, St. Paul, Mercy Hospital, Coon Rapids, and Mercy Hospital - Unity Campus, Fridley, in mid-January
