Duluth man injured while biking gets back on the trails with adaptive bike

[WDIO TV, August 18, 2022] Three years ago, Brok Hansmeyer of Duluth was seriously injured during an evening bike ride. He flipped over his handlebars and broke his neck. After surgeries, treatment and time he has regained most of the movement and feeling he initial lost.

Recently, for the first time since his injury, he got a chance to go mountain biking during an adaptive bike event hosted by Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute - Northland. WDIO captured that experience and featured it for their special series, "Northland Strong." They also spoke with Eric Larson, sports and rec supervisor at CKRI - Northland.
