Study finds connection between weight loss and drop in cancer risk

[WCCO Radio, July 07, 2022] A recent study published in JAMA found that those who underwent weight loss surgery had a 32 percent lower risk of developing cancer and a 48 percent lower risk of dying from the disease. Natasha Rueth, MD, surgical oncologist with Allina Health Cancer Institute, spoke to Susie Jones on WCCO Radio about the study and other ways people can lower their risk of developing cancer.
