Common fireworks injuries during the Fourth of July

[KARE 11, July 01, 2022] Many people will enjoy fireworks over the Fourth of July holiday, but it's important to stay safe while using them. Joey Duren, MD, chief medical director, Allina Health EMS, spoke to KARE 11 Sunrise about preparing for the holiday weekend and an anticipated increase in fireworks injuries like burns, as well as eye and hearing injuries. People are asked to remember the 4 Cs if there's a burn injury: cool the burn, clean it with soap and water, cover it and call a doctor.
