Allina Health CEO discusses joint statement declaring gun violence a public health crisis

[CNN, June 11, 2022] Lisa Shannon, president and CEO of Allina Health, appeared on CNN to discuss a statement issued by 10 Minnesota health care systems, including Allina Health. The health systems declared gun violence a public health crisis. 

Shannon explained that health care providers see the widespread, devastating impact of gun violence firsthand every day. Shannon discussed the emotional harm and trauma employees and community members continue to experience after the deadly mass shooting at Allina Health's Buffalo Crossroads Clinic in 2021.
