Inflatable 'space pants' help injured patients walk again

[KARE 11 News, April 21, 2022]

After a private donor gifted them with funds in January, Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute was able to purchase five pairs of pants that are helping stroke and brain injury patients learn to walk again.

The specialized pants plug into a walker which fills them with air. By utilizing the same technology as NASA space suits, differential air pressure reduces a patient's body weight by up to 50%.
