Renewed urgency for vaccination amid spread of COVID-19 Delta variant

With a new strain of COVID-19 spreading across the country, there's a renewed urgency for people to get vaccinated against the virus. Called the Delta variant, the CDC expects it to become the predominant strain of the virus within a few weeks.

Allina Health infectious disease specialist Dr. Frank Rhame says this news strain of COVID-19 is an added reason that everyone should a vaccine as soon as possible.
