State of Minnesota Proclamation

WHEREAS: On Tuesday, February 9, 2021, a gunman opened fire at Allina Clinic Crossroads in Buffalo, Minnesota; and
WHEREAS: The senseless tragedy resulted in one lost life and four others injured; and
WHEREAS: Front-line health care workers and first responders took swift and heroic action to prevent further loss of life or injury; and
WHEREAS: The State of Minnesota joins the family and friends of the front-line workers, first responders, the Buffalo community, and those who were injured in grieving this tragedy and the loss of Medical Assistant Lindsay Overbay.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, TIM WALZ, Governor of Minnesota, do hereby order all United States flags and Minnesota flags be flown at half-staff at all state and federal buildings in the State of Minnesota, immediately on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 until sunset on Sunday, February 14, 2021 in honor of front-line health care workers and first responders who have been killed or injured in the line of duty in the State of Minnesota.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of Minnesota to be affixed at the State Capitol this 10th day of February.
