A helium shortage and health care

[KARE 11, February 19, 2019] A global helium shortage is affecting businesses that fill up those shiny party balloons. But helium is also needed for an important reason. It's used in MRI machines, the devices that look into our bodies and give doctors a glimpse into what our medical issues might be. KARE 11 News talked with Julie Singewald, the director of radiology services at Allina Health's Abbott Northwestern Hospital to find out how helium is used in health care.
