Allina Health Surgery Center – Vadnais Heights opens to patients
VADNAIS HEIGHTS, Minn. (October 31, 2023) — Allina Health is proud to announce its new surgery center in Vadnais Heights is now welcoming patients. The Allina Health Surgery Center – Vadnais Heights is a multispecialty center that will expand access to convenient, easy-to-schedule surgical services to the northeast metro.
The new surgery center is located at 1155 County Road E East, Vadnais Heights, Minnesota.
“Our investment in ambulatory surgery centers, which has rapidly grown from one center to eight centers, is part of Allina Health’s larger population health strategy and Whole Way to Better journey,” said Dave Slowinske, senior vice president, Allina Health Operations.
Specialty surgeries including ear, nose and throat care (ENT), general surgery, hip surgery, joint replacement, knee surgery, orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery and podiatry are provided at the new center.
In the near future, the Allina Health Surgery Center – Vadnais Heights will add two surgical robots making precision, minimally invasive surgery available to patients in the region. A Stryker Mako Robotic Assisted-Arm™ assists surgeons performing knee and hip replacements. The da Vinci Surgical System is a robotic surgical system that uses a minimally invasive surgical approach for a variety of surgical procedures.
“The Allina Health Surgery Center – Vadnais Heights solidifies our commitment to deliver surgical care in all settings from complex surgery in a major metropolitan hospital to same-day surgery in a community-based setting,” said Slowinske. “Ambulatory surgery centers are seen as a high quality, lower-cost alternative for certain procedures. Providing accessible and affordable care that is closer to home is aligned with our value-based care strategy to lower the total cost of care for our communities while maintaining the superior quality our patients have come to expect when they entrust Allina Health with their health care needs.”
