Adult volunteer opportunities

Allina Health United Hospital – Hastings Regina Campus offers opportunities for volunteers that encompass many fields of interest such as:

  • Contribute to non-nursing aspect of patient care in the hospital
  • Provide escort with Allina Health United Hospital – Hastings Regina Campus's health care campus
  • Greet the public and give directions at main entrance
  • Help with clerical tasks

Youth volunteer program

An experience that is very positive for all involved is available for youths between the ages of 16 and 18 years old.

  • Ortho & Sports Therapy assistant – Assists with patient flow in rehab area; after school hours available

How to become a volunteer

  • Review the opportunities directory to see if a position is available.
  • Complete a volunteer application.
  • We will get together to get acquainted either before or after you have completed the enrollment paperwork. Allina Health United Hospital – Hastings Regina Campus is required to perform a background check, so be prepared to provide your MN Driver’s license number (if you have one) and Social Security number.
  • Prospective volunteers contact Hasting Regina's Infection Control Practitioner to verify immunity to measles, mumps, rubella, chicken pox, and tuberculosis. If your immunization record is unavailable, our Infection Control Practitioner may arrange for a free test at Hasting Regina’s laboratory to verify your immunity (parent or guardian's permission signature required for youth).
  • We’ll schedule a time for you to attend a general orientation session to learn what you need to know about Hastings Regina before you get started. Training in your area of service will also be provided.
