Allina Health psychologist: Social media apps are not appropriate for adolescents

[Fox 9 News, January 31, 2023] After the nation's top doctor said 13 years old is too early to be using social media, FOX 9 talked to an Allina Health child psychologist to weigh in on the effects of social media usage and screen time.

Many social media giants currently allow 13-year-olds to join, but these apps can be harmful. Dr. David Nathan, a child/adolescent psychologist with Allina Health, compared their use to that of alcohol and tobacco.
