A new home for heart care in Waconia

An expanded Minneapolis Heart Institute at Ridgeview Heart Center offers patients a more convenient, comfortable experience

WACONIA, Minn. (Aug. 4, 2026) — Minneapolis Heart Institute at Ridgeview Heart Center today opened its newly expanded outpatient clinic in Waconia, giving patients in the southwest metro and beyond easier access to expert heart care in one convenient location. The new clinic, located on the third floor of the Ridgeview Professional Building at 560 S. Maple St., Suite 340, is larger than its previous space in the nearby Ridgeview Waconia Campus hospital building and offers a more streamlined experience for outpatient cardiology patients. Clinic patients can receive services such as echocardiograms, heart rate monitoring, device checks and other heart care, while procedural and inpatient care will continue to be provided in the hospital setting.

This expanded offering is a result of Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute and Ridgeview coming together to fulfill their ongoing commitment to make care more accessible in the communities they serve.

According to a 2026 report released by the American Heart Association, death from heart disease decreased between 2022 and 2023 – from 941,652 to 915,973 (2.7%). Among states, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported in 2024 that Minnesota has one of the lowest age-adjusted heart disease death rates in the country at 121.9 per 100,000 residents. Greater access to heart care and heart disease prevention may play a role in these positive trends.
