Grilled halibut

This entrée is full of healthful fats from the fish and olive oil ― a one-two punch for a healthy heart!


nonstick cooking spray
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1/4 cup lemon juice (fresh or bottled)
2 tablespoons yellow mustard
1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
1 1/2 teaspoons dried parsley
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
4 4-ounce halibut fillets


  1. Spray grill with nonstick cooking spray and preheat to medium heat.
  2. Combine oil, lemon juice, mustard, and herbs and spices in a shallow dish. Stir.
  3. Dip each fillet in the sauce (made in step 2) until well-coated and place on the grill. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes on each side or until fish flakes easily with a fork. Serve warm.

Don’t have a grill? Bake at 400 F for 10 to 15 minutes. Also, substitute flounder, cod or tilapia if you can’t find halibut.
