Peanut butter and chocolate frozen banana bites

A dessert can be a more healthful choice by including a fruit. This recipe does just that!

Ingredients

3 bananas (about 8 inches in length), cut into 1/2-inch slices
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Line a small baking sheet with waxed paper. Spread 1 teaspoon peanut butter on half of the banana slices. Top each with remaining banana slices. Place in the freezer for 15 minutes.
  2. Place chocolate chips in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 1 to 2 minutes. Stir until smooth.
  3. Remove banana bites from freezer. Using a tong, dip each banana bite halfway into the chocolate, then place back on the baking sheet. Repeat until all banana bites are dipped. Place in the freezer for at least 30 minutes or until chocolate freezes.
  4. Remove from freezer and transfer to an airtight container. Enjoy immediately or place in freezer until ready to serve.
