Chocolate brownies

Sweet treats are OK to eat occasionally. If a craving strikes, enjoy one of these brownies - a decadent dessert with 100 calories per serving!

Ingredients

nonstick cooking spray
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2/3 cup canola oil, divided
1/2 cup boiling water
1/2 cup liquid egg substitute
2 cups sugar
1 1/3 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. Spray a 13-by-9-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine cocoa, baking soda and 1/3 cup canola oil. Add boiling water. Stir until combined.
  4. Add egg substitute, sugar and remaining oil. Stir until smooth. Add flour, vanilla and salt. Stir until well-blended.
  5. Pour into baking pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the pan comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
