Smoked salmon bites

Omega-3 fatty acids are an essential fat, which means your body can’t make them. Eating omega-3-rich salmon is a great way to get the healthful fat your body needs to keep your heart healthy!

Ingredients

1 tablespoon whipped cream cheese
1 pinch garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed
1/4 teaspoon dried onion flakes
6 water crackers
6 slices cucumber
1/2 ounce smoked salmon, cut into 6 pieces
1 sprig chive, cut into 6 pieces
6 small flat parsley leaves

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, combine first four ingredients. Stir. Cover and place in the refrigerator until you’re ready to assemble crackers.
  2. To assemble crackers, lay crackers on a clean work surface. Spread ½ teaspoon cream cheese mixture on each cracker. Then place one slice cucumber and one piece of salmon on top of each cracker. Garnish each cracker with chive and parsley.
  3. Serve immediately.
