An orthopedic trauma surgeon with
Allina Health Orthopedics joined the Good Day news team to talk about the recent increase in emergency department visits related to winter injuries.
Bryan Armitage, MD, shared tips to prevent frostbite and reminded people to wear proper footwear during icy conditions. He also noted that if someone slips and falls, being unable to walk is a key sign that they should go to the emergency department to assess the injury.
