Allina Health EMS helps brings joy to kids at event
[North Metro TV, December 12, 2025]
Ten members of Allina Health Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were among the first responders who participated in the 16th annual Heroes and Helpers holiday event in the North Metro. The program gives a $250 gift cardto each child and pairs them up with a hero to shop for gifts for their friends and family. This was Heroes and Helpers’ largest group yet with 70 children participating this year.
“First of all, it’s very fulfilling,” said Colin Brown of Allina Health EMS. “This is the season of giving. Giving is receiving. Being able to kind of help Jaday interact with her siblings in such a positive way and wonderful way and bring that kind of joy to their families is pretty neat.”
