Daylight saving time ends Sunday, Nov. 2. That means we'll all turn the clocks back an hour and gain a bit more of sleep on Sunday.
“Your body doesn’t switch on a dime, just because your clock does,” said
Andrew Stiehm, MD, a pulmonologist and sleep medicine physician with Allina Health.
Dr. Stiehm told the Fox 9 Good Day hosts that the dramatic change in time definitely takes a toll on people mentally and physically. There is typically an increase in
strokes, heart attacks and motor vehicle accidents in the week following a time change. Dr. Stiehm also discussed sleep monitors and how screens impact sleep. Watch his interview on Fox 9 Good Day below.
