Students at Hastings High School in Hastings, MN are getting a unique look at all the employment opportunities available in the healthcare industry.
The school partnered with Allina Health to offer students a Healthcare Professionals class. Using state of the art tools and the real-life expertise of dozens of Allina Health employees, the class will expose students to the work of radiologists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists and more.
Here is an excerpt from an article published in the Hastings Journal:
This broad range of healthcare professionals was purposeful. It was meant to “highlight jobs that are super important, but not well known” within the healthcare industry, said Katie Jones, Nursing Professional Development Practitioner at Allina.
“It’s not just doctors and nurses,” continued Jones.
