Making cycling accessible to people of all abilities

[WCCO-TV, May 28, 2025] The Sports & Recreation team at Allina Health Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute was proud to show Harding High School students how to use recumbent bikes during an event in St. Paul. As part of its No Child Left Inside initiative, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources helped put on the event, along with the Department of Transportation.

Harding High School students of all abilities gathered in Como Park to ride bicycles. For some of them, it was their first time on a bike. Known for its adaptive sports and recreation program, Courage Kenny sent a team to help students who may have needed a recumbent bike or additional supports to achieve the goal of riding a bike. WCCO-TV captured the event in the story below.
