Allina Health IT director works to make each day Earth Day

[Allina Health Newsroom, April 22, 2025] Brad Myrvold enjoys technology and efficiency. He loves improving systems, especially the one Allina Health uses for computer equipment deliveries. 

“It used to be, we’d literally order a semi load at a time,” said Brad, director of Allina Health IT infrastructure. “You have Styrofoam. You have all the packing material to deal with — and we’d pay someone to haul it away.”  

Working with Allina’s technology provider, Brad created a way to reduce not only the waste in the delivery stream but also the costs for it.  

“It’s important to take care of this stuff,” Brad said. “We have alternatives.”
