After 26 years, legendary wheelchair basketball coach prepares for retirement

[KMSP Fox 9 News, April 23, 2024] After 26 years of coaching, legendary wheelchair basketball coach Doug Dixon is retiring. World-renowned for teaching the fundamentals, Coach Dixon led his teams to three national championships and watched as three of his players made it onto the U.S. Paralympic team.

Coach Dixon's team is called the Rolling Junior Timberwolves, and they're based at Allina Health Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute in Golden Valley. Fox 9 News interviewed Coach Dixon about what led him to the sport, what he loves most about it and what he plans to do next.
