Teens discover health care careers at Allina Health event

[Allina Health Newsroom, November 21, 2023] Dozens of Twin Cities high school students got hands-on experience while learning about careers in health care. Allina Health Volunteer Services, Community, Benefit and Engagement, and Nursing Professional Development teams hosted the Discover Health Care Careers Event at the MacMillan Center next to Abbott Northwestern Hospital.

The students heard from health care professionals about their education and career journeys, explored the state-of-the-art Simulation Lab, and learned about volunteering opportunities to gain real-life health care experience now. 

Volunteering with Allina Health is a powerful way for high school students to learn about health care opportunities, meet mentors who can help guide their education and career choices, and develop confidence in a health care setting.
