Breast cancer survivors transform into Dragon Divas

[WCCO News, October 09, 2023] About 80 women make up the Dragon Divas, a group of breast cancer survivors who race dragon boats. They practice as much as three times a week. Their ages range from mid-30s to 85, and they are all united by their desire to control their health, a need for community and battling breast cancer.

Many of the women joined the Divas after receiving care at Allina Health. WCCO-TV joined the lades at Lake Gervais in Little Canada as they practiced ahead of a dragon boat festival in Las Vegas.
