Cyber attack raises concerns about hospital cybersecurity

[KSTP, August 05, 2023] A cyberattack on Prospect Medical Holdings, Inc., a company that has clinics and hospitals in five states, disrupted care in multiple cities across the nation, in some cases causing the closure of emergency departments.

 

This type of news raises concerns in communities. A KSTP-TV reporter reached out to Allina Health to talk about this issue. Here is Allina Health's statement:

"Allina Health utilizes a number of industry best-practice solutions to help us identify threats such as these on a real-time basis.  We have been monitoring this situation and have no evidence to indicate that Allina Health has been affected by these attacks."
