Local sportscaster's bout with breast cancer highlights need for breast cancer screening

[WCCO-TV News, March 22, 2023] Local sportscaster Marney Gellner announced on social media Tuesday that she has breast cancer. Gellner, who covers the Timberwolves and Lynx for Bally Sports North, tweeted a picture of herself at a recent annual mammogram. She says she's thankful the cancer was detected early.

Radiologist David Aamodt, MD, at the Allina Health Cancer Institute – Piper Breast Center in Coon Rapids, joined WCCO-TV News to discuss breast cancer screenings of the type that detected Gellner’s cancer early.
