Allina Health addresses racial disparities in cardiovascular care

[WCCO-TV, February 28, 2023] February is both American Heart Month and Black History Month. Mosi Bennett, MD, PhD, cardiologist with Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute (AHMHI), spoke to WCCO TV about cardiovascular health disparities and ways they are being addressed.

He explained how providers at AHMHI are creating better access for community clinicians to connect with a cardiologist, providing education at community clinics about cardiovascular care and educating themselves on biases in medicine.
