New app advises on ER wait times

[KSTP-TV News, January 17, 2023] This season's so-called tripledemic of RSV, influenza and COVID has conspired to sometimes fill hospital emergency rooms to overflowing with wait times up to several hours. Now Allina Health has introduced a new app to let patients know how long they will have until they can be seen. Once a patient is registered and triaged, they are sent a text message with a link to a personalized web page that outlines their waiting time for each phase of their emergency room visit.
