16,000 paper cranes send healing hope from Japan

[KARE 11 News, March 26, 2021] Kazuhiro Sekino is a Japanese Lutheran pastor who is doing his chaplain internship at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. During one of his patient visits, he brought an origami paper crane to a patient as a gift. The patient was overcome with tears of joy. Sekino mentioned this on his Facebook page and it sparked a crane making frenzy in Japan resulting in 16 thousand paper cranes sent to Pastor Sekino at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. Many of those paper crane are now hanging in the hospital lobby.
